Communion Weekend - Thursday 19th - 23rd June
The June communion services were all well attended and there was a good spirit throughout.

The Thursday evening service was taken by Rev Howard Stone and he spoke about the example of Jesus in serving the disciples - the challenge this presented to us,but also the promised rewards.

Friday evening was a Testimony evening, and after a short message by Rev David Paterson, six individuals told something of their life story and of how they came to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

From Saturday evening, through to the Monday night Thanksgiving Service, the services were conducted by Rev Prof J L MacKay and all the readings were taken from the prophesies of Isaiah. We were taken on a tour of the Gospel from the reality of God's anger against sin being turned away, Chapter 12, to the place of welcome and invitation in Chapter 55, and from the covering made for sin, Chapter 6 to the need of the Holy Spirit's help for right living, Chapter 56

All the services throughout the weekend were attended by folk from neighbouring churches and the Sunday Evening was a joint service with the congregations of Brora, Helmsdale, Golspie, and Rogart. There was a time of fellowship after the Evening Service and Professor MacKay spoke a little about his upbringing, of how he came to trust the Lord and then led into the Christian Ministry.

Plockton & Kyle - Friday 6th June
Eric was preaching in Plockton on Friday evening for the Communion Preparatory Service. There was a good turnout of both young and old. The text and theme for the evening was, "My ways are not your ways", says the Lord. The Rev Colin MacLeod was the visiting minister for the weekend.
