Sunday School Party

This Saturday we had our annual Christmas Party. All the Sunday School kids get together and some adults too. We played different games and had a great laugh. The food supplied was excellent and enjoyed by all. All together everyone had a good time.

Rogart and Scourie - January

The minister, Eric Paterson, has been given the responsibility for looking after the congregations of Rogart and Scourie. This involves him being caretaker minister in these villages until they are able to have another minister.

Group Singing

Each winter (now into our fourth year) a group, of around 15 folk, stays behind on a Sunday evening to learn the new tunes to the Supplementary Psalms. Subsequently these new tunes have been introduced to our Sunday worship and have been very well received by the congregation. The group have resumed their fortnightly practices and are already into the process of learning further tunes.

Youth Fellowship

The Youth Fellowship, who get together fortnightly, are currently watching the film, 'The Hiding Place', and are discussing issues which arise from it.

Open Doors Trust - In Golspie

Mr Hugh McKenna of the 'Open Door Trust' in Glasgow, along with assosiate 'Terry', braved the journey north for a meeting with the Golspie 'Women For Mission'. Friends from St Andrews Guild and Rogart Free Church joined with the Golspie ladies for a warm and beneficial evening. Mr McKenna, with good Glasgow humour, gave a up-to-date synopsis, and Terry gave his very personal viewpoint of the cares and concerns of the Trust. A most enjoyable and thought provoking evening appreciated by all

Preaching in January

During the Morning Service we are having a series of sermons looking at the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John chronologically. Currently we are at the ministry of John the Baptist.

In the Evening Service we are looking at the books of the Old Testament. This involves one sermon for each book in an attempt to capture what that book is about and also what is its significance for us

New Year's Day Service 1st January

The New Year's Day service is usually well attended and this year was no different.
The thoughts for the day concerned our past, our present, and our future. (The past with regard to our sins, the present with regard to our forgiven state, and the future with regard to our heavenly hope.)
