Preaching..

The preaching over the next number of weeks will concentrate on the Gospels (sunday morning), the book of Romans (Sunday evening) and the 10 commandments (whenever). We pray that the Lord will bless his word to our hearts and lives.

Afterwards there was soup and sandwiches provided in the church hall. Another good day.

Free Church Golf Camp - 3rd/10th April
This is now the 16th time that the Free Church Golf Camp has been held in Golspie Free Church. Over the years there appears to be very little that has changed. There are the spartan facilities, the changable weather, plenty of golf, the odd game of 5 a side football, excellant food, the clean up in the swimming pool, the presentation of the gospel message, and of course, most of all, a constant supply of people wanting to be here either as campers or leaders. We hope and pray that everyone really enjoyed their stay here and we give thanks to God who makes it possible.

Youth Fellowship - Sunday 21st March
Eugene and Marla (from South Africa) were the guests at last nights youth fellowship. Eugene told the young folks about his upbringing in SA and also of how he became to be a Christain. He then went on to speak about his working experience and of how he and Marla came to be in Golspie. The evening was finished off with the usual pizza, crisps, and chocolate biscuits.

Slavic Gospel Association - Friday 12th March
There was an excellent meeting held in Rogart Free Church on Friday evening. Raymond Arnold of Slavic Gospel Association led the meeting and was assisted by a pastor and his wife from a church in Odessa. They were able to share how the Lord had blessed the church they belonged to and how by his grace he enabled it to grow so rapidly over these past few years.

East Sutherland Ladies Meal - March 5th
Ladies from East Sutherland met together in Golspie for this annual occasion hosted by the Golspie ladies. There were Fifty Five present and, as they shared a three course meal together, all enjoyed the opportunity to meet and exchange news with friends from around the county. The Golspie Craft Group had some of their work for sale and many of the ladies were happy to buy cards and other hand-crafted goods.

The Guest Speaker for the evening was Calum Ferguson who returned, last year, from Turkey.

New Years Day Service - 1st January

A good way to begin the New Year is in the company of other Christians and commit ourselves to the Lord Jesus for all that will lie ahead of us in the comming year. That is what we were able to do as a church and it was good to see so many able to come along to the NY day service.

Happy New Year - 1st January
